So I got some time with the S770 at the dealer lot last week. First off, cab feels a lot nicer than what I'm used to, that new seat and layout, it's way less crammed and everything in there makes sense. All the switches and multi-handle right where I want 'em, except the throttle setup could be better, not a fan of the three-step deal. Still, the overall comfort's up a notch and you can feel that right away.

As for the wiring, John Deere really stepped up. Way better routing compared to some Case machines I’ve run, and less headache chasing shorts. The rest of it is just kinda typical updates-better cab entrance, clean grain elevator is the old style but that’s whatever for me. I do notice a lot of belts around the rear and not in love with that for long-term maintenance, but nothing shocking. All in all, solid improvements but there’s still room for little tweaks here and there.

We purchased a used John Deere 9600 combine harvester after our former employee bought a similar machine for his farm. We were impressed by the number of positive reviews about the quality of the combine, so after a month, we also purchased the same "Johnnie." I want to mention its low fuel consumption and high productivity. According to calculations, we managed to reduce the cost of harvesting work by almost 20%.

Got to try out the S770 recently. The engine has solid power, and it handles full loads effortlessly. I appreciate the sizable cab with a good view, but I found the control layout to be a bit overwhelming initially. It's a reliable machine, but it takes a moment to familiarize yourself with all its functionalities.

I've had some seat time in the S770 lately. The active yield thing is really handy-calibrating's basically a non-issue now. Makes setup way faster, especially if you're always moving fields. The automation side is cool, sure, but sometimes feels like I could just crank some stuff myself and save the fuss, maybe I'm old school. Ergonomics are solid, the seat swivels just right when watching the auger, you don't have to twist up like before. Some of the electronics can feel like too much tech if you're just wanting to get going and not fiddle. Reliability's been spot on so far, no hiccups mechanically. Service and parts still cost you though-JD never surprises there.

This combine was an interesting setup. I tried it on a few fields, and while the cab enhancements impressed me, the maintenance accessibility left a bit to be desired. Performance-wise, it handles decently.

After spending a season running the S770, here's my two cents. It's a solid performer, no doubt. It managed our 16-row heads without issue, adapting well to rolling terrains. However, when comparing it to higher-class combines, there are noticeable differences, such as slightly lower cleaning capacity and unloading speed. Still, it balances these with advantages like manageable fuel consumption and sufficient power for most practical operations. I'd suggest looking closely at your operation scale before committing.

We are currently using the John Deere 9500 combine harvester. We bought it in used condition 7 years ago. During this time, there have been breakdowns, but we have promptly resolved them as there are no problems accessing the service center. I would also like to note the simple and fast access to the components. This is convenient if a breakdown occurs in the field. An extended fuel tank and an enlarged grain tank are also significant advantages.

So I've put in some long hours with this S770, mostly corn (central IL). The auto-adjust system's cool, but sometimes wish it let me do a bit more myself-old habits die hard I guess. Camera on the grain elevator is handy, does help check for splits and trash. Controls are better than the last rig I used, pretty easy to figure it all out in one night. Ride's decent and noise in the cab wasn't too bad, though seat could be softer if I'm picky. Not super happy with the cost for all the shiny new stuff, but I doubt that's changing. No breakdowns yet, crossing fingers.

Our farm purchased a John Deere 9640 combine half a year ago. The machine has become a reliable helper in harvesting work, but it seems that its advantages are overestimated. The abundance of automation is impressive, but it does not affect the equipment's productivity, but only becomes the reason for its unaffordable cost. We realized our mistake, it would have been much cheaper and without compromising the quality to purchase a CASE IH combine.

Used the S770 in the last harvest season. That auto-adjust feature really saves a ton of time; it’s quick and responsive. The addition of the camera is a thoughtful touch, giving a real-time view of the grain flow that’s unexpectedly useful-helps improve process quality. Cost of maintenance appears average-not overly high but manageable. Wish it had slightly better interface controls, but all in all, it does the job pretty well.
